Frequently Asked Questions:

Which Trikke™ is best for me?

Wondering what Trikke™ cambering vehicle will be right for you or for someone you are thinking of giving one to? Not to worry! The people at Trikke Tech, the company tha first presented Trikke, struggled with the same question because it appears that everyone — young and old, big and small — are riding all three Trikke models for every conceivable reason. However, we think the dilemma of choosing the right model is easily solved. Here's what we recommend.

Trikke™ cambering vehicles are available in three sizes: The Trikke 5 (small), Trikke 6 (medium) and Trikke 8 (large). All three models have polyurethane wheels with dual independent rear brakes. Trikke 6 and 8 have an aluminum frame, and Trikke 5 has a steel frame. The critical components, the cambering system, wheels, and frame geometry remain the same for all three sizes. The following definitions of each product will help you pick the right one.

Trikke 5
The Trikke 5 cambering vehicle is designed for riders from 7 to 11 years of age. It has 5 inch wheels with a recommended maximum rider weight of 150 lbs. and is great for neighborhood fun and driveway tricks.

Trikke 6
The Trikke 6 cambering vehicle is designed for mid and older teens, though the frame is large enough for some adults. It has 6 inch polyurethane wheels with a maximum recommended rider weight of 200 lbs. It has the patented Trikke quick release folding system for ease of storage. The six inch wheels and 17 lb. frame weight make the Trikke 6 three inches lower to the ground and 3.5 lbs. lighter than the Trikke 8. This means that freestyle riders have more control and the vehicle is easier to mount and dismount. Though not quite as fast as the Trikke 8, the Trikke 6 is fun, maneuverable, less expensive and closer to the ground.

Trikke 8
Though older teens can definately ride it, the Trikke 8 cambering vehicle is designed for adults who want a safe, fast and smooth ride. It has 8 inch polyurethane wheels and a larger frame with a recommended rider weight limit of 250 lbs. It has the patented Trikke quick release folding system for ease of storage. For riders looking for a fun way to exercise, to pleasure cruise, for transportation around town, or to buzz across campus, the Trikke 8 is definately the model to have.

At the end of the day we have adults who buzz around on the Trikke 5 and kids who prefer the Trikke 8, so who really knows. What we do know is that all three models are fun to ride. If you are still torn between which model to choose consider a test ride. How is a Trikke™ Different?

Often mistaken as a scooter when seen for the first time, ther Trikke immedieately sets itself apart when a rider hops on and takes the first few turns. People often ask "What makes it move?", "Where are the batteries?"

Trikke's movement has the rhythm of in-line skating, surfing, snowboarding, or skiing on pavement because the entire vehicle leans in unison due to its finely coordinated (and patented) cambering mechanism. Rhythmic weight transfer from one leg to another is the key to propelling the Trike forward.

It's fun to ride and it feels great!
